Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the full name given to her parents. Lennox attended her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She studied the harpsichord and flautist piano over three years. Lennox's budget was increased by a stipend to students and part-time jobs. Lennox decided to change her career path when she was dissatisfied with her inexperience in contrast to the other Royal Academy students. Lennox started her professional career in the year 1976 when she joined a band called Dragons Playground. She quit the band shortly before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. She sang lead for The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977-1980. As part of this group, she was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they will create The Eurythmics Pop duo. Lennox was working on her own first album Diva. It came out in 1993. The album had a tremendous success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist was released in October of 2014. The C.D. The C.D. is comprised of Lennox's favorite blues, jazz, and soul songs from her youth. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four songs that were improvised by piano that Lennox released in May, 2019. The E.P. is an accompanying piece for her installation of art at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art titled"Now, I'll let You Go... The album is also her first independently released album. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on 25 December. She is a social activist, philanthropist, and singer. The Tourists had a minor hit in late 1970s. Lennox, along with Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, went on to achieve international fame in 1980s as the Eurythmics. In 1992 Lennox launched a solo career with their debut record Diva with a variety of successful songs includingWhy andWalking on Broken Glass. Medusa is her studio album from 1995. It features cover versions of songs like The No MoreI Love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums of her own and one compilation album to her credit. |
